Samsung Connect Tag: a compact tracker
Samsung announced Connect Tag - a compact tracker, designed to track the location of people, pets and things. It can be attached to a bunch of keys, a children's backpack or a dog collar to always know where they are. GPS, cellular networks and Wi-Fi access points are used to determine the location. Samsung Connect Tag belongs to the platform SmartThings and can inform various gadgets that is nearby. This will allow you to automatically turn on the light or TV when coming home.
Samsung Connect Tag also knows how to send notifications when leaving a pre-defined zone or by the command of its user. In addition, using a tracker you can search for a car in the parking lot. To communicate, the device uses the NB-IoT narrowband communication standard (Russian operators are still talking about its launch only in the future).
